25,528-MW Renewable Capacity Applied EMRA For YEKDEM

EMRA evaluated applications made to the authority to benefit from the renewable energy supporting mechanism (YEKDEM) in 2022 and published the preliminary list of applicants, which includes 1,035 power plants with a total installed capacity of 25,528 MWe.
The list includes 224 wind power plants with a total installed capacity of 9,286 MWe. The total installed capacity of hydroelectric power plants has reached 11,797 MW with 425 power plants.
While the biomass and biogas power plants that applied to EMRA for YEKDEM had a total capacity of 2,266 MW with 293 power plants, only 36 solar plants with an installed capacity of 469 MW applied.
According to the list announced by EMRA, 14 power plants were left out of YEKDEM, as they had completed 10-year period.
